Bottom line is you must stretch!
If you want to increase your distance, stretch, especially the muscles directly involved in the swing. Simply swinging a golf club doesn't fully extend the muscle and stretching does. If a muscle has been fully extended before hand (stretched) you can get more power.
The greatest improvement of performance is seen when the backswing velocity is high. The professional golfers one sees on television use a much longer backswing in less time than it takes an amateur. Be careful not to pause too long at the top, as any enhanced performance seen from a long back swing will decrease the effect due to the wait.
In order to help your backswing and maximize the distance these general areas should be focused on during a pre-round stretching routine:
Shoulder Muscles
Trunk Muscles
Hip Muscles
Bottom line: If you want to play a more consistent golf game and increase your distance; stretch, stretch, stretch… and once you have, pop up your Rukket RukkNet golf practice net portable golf pro package to feel and see the difference in distance!
