Rukket: SPDR Net Press Release for Kickstarter

After extensive testing and feedback, Rukket Sports appeals to investors for help in bringing their prototype SPDR Golf Net Mk 1 to market. Provided additional funds can be secured, the SPDR is immediately ready for mass production.

Rukket Sports is proud to announce that their newest sports net, the Self-contained Portable Driving Range or SPDR Golf Net Mk 1, has successfully passed the prototype-testing and feedback phases and is ready for mass production. The SPDR is a foldable golf net designed to give professional golfers, coaches, and instructors a quick way to practice their swing or teach away from a dedicated driving range or golf course. In order to begin mass production, Rukket Sports designed a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production line and shipping of the SPDR Golf Net Mk 1.

When open, the SPDR measures 7'4"x10'x3' but it can still fold down to a 4' x8"x8" bundle weighing only 18 lbs. In addition, once the net is attached to the frame, the SPDR can be folded and stored without removing the net thus simplifying setup and leaving more time for practice. Rukket has pioneered the use of fiberglass tensioning rods in the supporting arms to save weight and increase net tension which allows the ball to roll out of the net and back to the user. Even the rubber pads used for the feet were specifically selected not to mar floors, whether at home or on a basketball court.

“Basically, our customers wanted a golf net that was larger than our last golf net, the RukkNet and something that was quicker to set up than our largest net, the Monster Cage. We really think we've hit the sweet spot with the SPDR. We took the prototype to this years PGA show in Orlando people were really blown away; it just has all the features people wanted: greater area, portability, and ease use. And it's all backed up by our warranty and stellar customer service” said Ryan Dickerson, Rukkets Head of Manufacturing.

Rukket Sports specializes in quick and easy set up sports nets, covering lacrosse, soccer and golf. The international company, which is solely self-funded and run by a four person team out of Wilmington DE, has a proven history of making high quality nets, incorporating user feedback to continually improve their products, and solid customer service.

“It's not cheap to manufacture a product and bring it to market, but this is what our customers wanted and we going to make it so, if you believe in it, help us out on Kickstarter” Ryan continued “we're giving anyone who funds us a discount on the final price of the SPDR and we have several tiers that pair a SPDR with any of our other nets, all the way up to a mega package that'll get you every single net we make for a ridiculously low price.”

Once the Kickstarter campaign succeeds, the production run should take about sixty days with another forty-five days for shipping and delivery, which will put the SPDR in customers, hands around mid-august 2014. For more information, see Rukket Sports website at www.rukket.com.
